Ocht - The Incomplete Soul, I

Mathias came up with Ocht, his fantasy word, in the 1980s. Ocht represents the human Soul, which is sometimes soft, sometimes malleable, sometimes unaggressive, sometimes mysterious and sometimes just the opposite of all the above.

Mathias was convinced that the Soul was not God-given, not even fully mature, but in need of constant development. Active human engagement brings Ocht its growth. Like a muscle that needs to be trained, so the Ocht.

Mathias called Ochts internally "the potato pictures/Kartoffelbilder". Same as potatoes are Earth's nourishment, the (mature) Soul is the nourishment for the Human. Just be aware what you "eat" ... or what eats you ... up?
